Check the cost of switching later
Before storing real patient information, ask about access controls, backups, exports and support. Request a sample export and check whether your clinic can use it. Confirm which services require an additional purchase and how unused prepaid credits are handled.
Try the software with fictional records and involve whoever manages reception and billing. A free plan that requires repeated manual work can take more staff time than a paid plan that fits your workflow. Compare time and usability alongside the cash price.
